Default LT1 "Cadillac" custom grind cam only dyno results

I made up a custom grind cam for a 97 Trans Am WS6 6-speed.

The car is stock with the exception of a K&N filter, MSD wires and a Hooker aerochamber replacement muffler.

The cam is 213/218 @.050. That's all I'll say about the cam <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> . I also installed Comp 1.6 rockers and comp springs/retainers.

The car made 318rwhp and 320rwtq. Peak power was at 6,000, and it made over 300ft lbs of torque from 2,200 to 5,400.

This was with tuning. The car made 308/317 before tuning.

The car sounds like stock and still has stock manifolds/cats/throttle body, etc. The idle is DEAD smooth.

I thought it turned out well. Considering most stock 6-speed LT1's dyno in the 260hp/300tq range, this car made some good power for sounding/looking totally stock.

Wow, thats pretty impressive, that could easily whoop on a stock LS1... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

And you could claim stock, a good pair of heads matched up with that cam and some more bolt ons would make that car interesting.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Those numbers look real close to what my LPE 211 cam gave <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> made over 300RWTQ from off idle to red line <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Nice numbers with the cam. In your opinion, what kind of numbers would you hope to see with this cam and a bone stock LT4 car? (96 Corvette Grand Sport)

I'm very temped to try this cam in my 97 LT4 SS, but I can't bring myself to do it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> .

it will bring sadness to everyone.lol
im sure to add this cam when i start my lt1 dd build.
so what are you think power will be w/long tubes and a xpipe?

Bump. I'm interested in this as well. Would it be detrimental to run it with headers, since it's designed to run with the stock manifolds? I'm trying to plan a rebuild for my motor and would love to use this cam. What type of headers would work best with it?

well ive got this cam and near full-bolt on's and i love how it runs! has alot of low end pull thats for sure.
