Default removing waterpump????

ok im pulling the lt1 out of my t/a and im to the point to where i have to remove the waterpump..... the last bolt is behind the powersteering pulley. Is there any easier ways to go about this or am i just missing something right in front of me? By the way it IS a electric waterpump

The housing is still the same, the Electric part is on the front of the pump.

Just use extensions, i pulled mine of last night in about 20 minutes.

Tony.

what he's saying is that you can get to the bolt through the hole in the pulley.

I actually di it a hard way and put an extension through 1 of the holes in the puylly to break the bolt loose then got it as far out as i could the used some needle nose plyers to get the rest. Only reason i didi it this way was because i didi not have a power steering pully puller and it ws to late to rent 1 from autozone. lol i would just go to AZ and rent 1 its free you just have to put a security deposit down i think its $40 that you get back when you bring it back.

I use a 1/4" ratchet with a 14mm shorty, once its backed off, then pull on the housing and it all comes out. OR just undo the PS pump + take off the clamp

hmmm............. so well i cannot get a shorty onto it, it requires a deep socket on mine for some dumb reason. And i cannt go through the pulley hole either. So basically i need the powersteering pulley puller is what your saying

Ive done this multiple times, PULLEY DOES NOT HAVE TO COME OFF. I use a short 14MM 3/8" drive socket.

A 1/4" 14mm Shorty WILL WORK, you slip it on the bolt, back it off the back of the socket will hit the PS pulley but at that point you yank on it and it comes off of the dowel pins.
