Yeah I've kinda noticed that too. I was lookin at third gens on eBay over the summer and alot of the 90-92 cars I saw were being sold for almost twice the KBB value if they were in decent shape.

It is possible. It just takes patience.

I was able to find mine in May of '04 with 32,000 original miles. Completely bone stock and only two owners. It actually still had the dry rotted tires from the factory from '94. Not one thing on the car had been touched.

it actually wouldn't really be worth much more than that, even with that mileage.

Would love to get a 91 or 92 camaro RS and do a LS1/M6 swap. I had a 91 RS before my current ride and I miss alot about those cars.

i got mine 3 years ago for 5K, 89K on the clock and 1 owner. It wasnt really mint but had been taken good care of. All my friends used to rag on my little slow LT1 car. Now they cant say enough about it. When i'm donewith this car.........(LOL NEVER), i plan on finding a 96-97 SS 6speed car.

Dont act suprised, it happens to every generation of F-body, just normal. Back in 99 when I started looking for mine, clean Lt1s were a dime a dozen, as they got older harder and harder to find. Heres some thing to think about, how many cars that were under $25K new that are now 10-14 years old are cean any more? Very, very, very few. LS1s are starting to take the same turn, they are not built any better, all the same bull **** goes wrong with age. I see it with my friends 99s and 00s, they made fun of me when my TA started doing typcal old F-body stuff, now theres is doing it and they cant say ****. Head lamp motors, ac, stupid wear and tear parts. Facts of life are, any car thats been on the road and driven daily for the last 10+ years, is probabaly not going to have a clean paint or body if its original, chances are its been wrecked, chances are its going to need some work, they all do, stuff wears out with age. The good thing is, some select few people who bought them were enthusiasts or liked them from that stand point, so it is easier to find the few that are still clean.

Yah Mine was beat on and so Im doing a sort of resto. Gets all new paint once I get a gun. And all kinds f little things are broken that Ive had to repair, but I dont mind all too much cause I know a HELL of a lot more about my car than any of my LS1 buddys. One of them can barely change his own sparkplugs.

I was lucky to find mine in June 05. 1997 Formula hardtop, cloth interior, chrome 5-spokes, cd-player. Came with Borla exhaust, Viper alarm, Optima battery, and only 29,995 miles. Bought it for $9,000. You just have to keep looking around, or look further away from your area. Like on autotrader, look at 100mi instead of 50mi.

As the years go by they will be more wrecked and just not running anymore. **** 93's are 13 years old. Take that times your 12K miles per year, 156K on the clock.

if anyone is looking in michigan, i can point you to a very clean 96 trans am: red, ttop, 6 speed, low mileage and completely virgin send me a PM.

on another note... yea they are hard to find. I had my eyes in the paper for an entire year before I found my car, and that was back in 02/03. And the one i have now is the only one i bothered looking at for more than 5 minutes. I paid high dollar and everyone thought i was crazy, but i dont regret it one bit.
