That's a pretty huge cam on an lt1. I'm assuming you have some decent head work to go along with that, otherwise you're leaving a lot on the table.

I'm going to be using one that's one half step down from that one. I hope it runs well. I didn't think my heads would flow enough for that one. Let us know, though. What do your heads flow and where did you get them done?

Ive got the 280 XFI in mine. Only problem your gonna have is an LT1 doesnt like a 113 lob seperation. It will take a good tuner a few attempts to get it dialed in.

Never heard of a motor not liking an LSA. The difference between the 113 LSA and 112 or 114 that most everyone else runs with shelf cams is minimal. I think they just went to 113 instead of a 112 to make it slightly more "streetable" with those agressive lobes. I got mine on a 111.

Yea i agree.. that has nothing to do with LT1's liking or disliking .. kinda dorky sounding to me.

If your tuner can't tune for a 113 LSA he would freak out if he knew what mine was.

I have a really good tuner. He used to work for A&A corvettes and he might still work there. But I've heard that he is one of the best in this area. I have seen him dyno a few of my friends cars and he knows his ****. If anyone can get my car to run with this cam, it would be him. I don't see the motor having problems with the lobe separation. If the motor is acting funny, it's because of your combinations. Certain cams work better than others with different gearing and higher stalls. Good combinations are essential.
(I would not try running my car with this cam with the stock 323 gears and a stock stall, the car would be a pig)

In my stroker the cam has a 108 LSA and sounds real nice at idle. Thats before the crack in block.

onephatZ28..... don't put that cam in a stock bottom end, it will be a pig. A stroker, it would be decent but not in a 350-355.

Thank you for the feedback.

I am wondering why you think it would be a pig? I guess I should have included more info about my car.

It has 4.10 gears with a 3500 stall. I will be running a 175 nitrous on it. I am also going to run the 1-7/8ths long tube headers. Do you still think it will be a pig?

I also plan on building stroker engine and use the same cam with it.

Because I do cams for these motors everyday and I know what works and what doesn't. That's just way too much duration for a LT1 350

Unless it's a stock elminator car, it's too big. You do drive this on the street correct?

BAD IDEA. Cams are cheap, even custom ones to do something like this.

Better listen to the "Cam Guy". I'm glad I did.

My spin on this subject is...Duration is like spice, too much can spoil the stew.

I'm not a cam guy but I can give you IMO.

The 4500 stall sounds good but the 11 to 1 CR might be on the low side for that much duration and overlap.
I would be curious as to how the superam intake liked that much cam.
