Actually, it's rich from the factory. Leaning it out a little can help but it doesn't seem like you know what you're doing, (just like I wouldn't be able to tune my car) it's probably best to not mess with it.

everybody ive ever talked to says it helps to richen it and advance the timing a little. i dont think the factory would make it rich since they are worried more about emissions. and i dont know y you think i dont know what im doing, i dropped this motor in a ford falcon, trust me i know how to tune the comp.

the purpose of it being run rich from the factory is to prolong engine life and reduce wear and tear. now im not sure if it runs lean or rich, but i doubt emmissions were high on gms list of priorities when designing f-bodies.

leave it rich, run some tr-55's and advance the timing through the computer.

You have no idea how many people come here with cars of uncles or something and are asking questions about them or just bought them modified. Sounds like an awesome swap.

Post pics.

yea thats true. yea, it turned out pretty good, took about 2 years to complete swap, plus a year for body work. i would post pics but i cant get them small enough, it says they got to be less than 100 by 100 pixels or somethin, is that the only way to go? thanks

No, that is for your avatar. Do a reply, go to the bottom, select manage attachments, select browse, and you can copy them from your computer. Make them about 640x480 and they will be thumbnails that we can click on and see.

Sounds like a great car, can't wait to see it.
What are you using to tune your PCM? Do you have a wideband? We can help.
Have you done the free mods to the LT1 yet? They only a few hp, but every little bit helps.

The ford falcon is definetly an intresting candidate for the lt1 swapski.
For a 100 bucks the only thing you really get now days for that is gas.

O yeah they make the engine rich so that it runs cooler which as mentioned above puts less stress on the engine.

I also can't help but ask but is it right hand drive? Did they even make em left hand drive?

yea its an american car, ive never seen a left hand drive falcon but im sure there are some around. but yea it was an interesting swap and only did it because i found a totalled 93 z28 for $1500 with only 71K. i used the engine, tranny, rear end, fuel pump, gauges, and anything else i could use, so the swap was relatively cheap. ive still got wheels and other parts im tryin to sell. but if anyones got a myspace i got pics on there, just ask and ill give u the url.

What is your myspace URL? I'll take a look at some of the pics, I'm curious. Don't worry about sending your URL out in this forum, lol it's not like anyone can do anything with it...

I say that, since you haven't posted your myspace url link yet. (assuming you wanted it private or something)
