Im trying to find some rockers. I know a lot of people use the pro magnum ones. There deff. one of the more expensive ones. What else are you guys using. Crane cams, scorpion, comp cams, steel, aluminum. Can you even fit the bigger body aluminum ones under the valve covers. Whats everyone running??

Currently using ProMagnum 1.6s non-sa but before this I ran ProForm 1.5 SA for a few years and like 45K miles with good results.
Tried a set set of CAT 1.65 SA which measured 1.6 and I was afraid to leave them in, some friends had MAJOR issues with them.

I use 1.6 CC pro mag. I would def recomend getting non SA rocker arms. I believe you said you wanted to get a cam later this year. If that is the case I wouldnt worry about the 1.7RR. Just get the 1.6s, because they will work out better down the road with the larger cam that you plan on getting.

Comp pro mag NSA rockers. I've seen plenty for sale here and www.camaroz28.com, but you have to be quick. I bought mine off ebay for a nice discount. Just don't get the Proforms.

You got it backwards. He's heard that you can't use Self-Aligning rockers with the beehive springs. I haven't heard this, but I wouldn't know.
I wouldn't use proform rockers because they appear to be cheaply made and I've heard of people having problems with them.

Not sure what the stud size is on your stock AL studs (is it 7/16" or 3/8"?) But I paid $265 for my CC pro Mags a couple years ago, from an online vendor. Im not sure why Summit charges $325 for them, maybe get them to price match.

Comp alum 1.6's SA
No problems here, clear any valve cover Ive tried on, and my rockers are ALWAYS centered on the valve tip.
Unlike my buddy's AFR headed 355. He used ProMag 1.6 non SA with AFR supplied guide plates. None of his rockers are centered on the valve tip because of the guide plates. No matter how we adjust it.
