How did you snap that ****? Is the Hurst rod thinner than the stocker?? I mean I had to bore out and retap the largest B&M t handle I could find to fit the damn stick. Everywhere I went to find the drill bit and the tap thought I was crazy when I told them how wide in diameter the damned shifter stick was.

I've seen my friend snap his shifter in his Prelude, but the stick in that thing is stupid skinny, I can't believe you broke a 4th gen stick.

Exclamation

I once bought a '65 GTO for $150.00 from an old farmer, it had oats in the trunk! The shifter on this car had been welded back on... Bob

Hahaha welded on?

Once the whole left side exhaust pipe fell down on my impala, the hanger broke, so I jumped out in a suit (it was graduation night) and got the hanger for my cap and gown, and bent it to hold the exhaust up, lol. Mexican Engineering hahaha(oh by the way I am Mexican so nobody get offended)

Welded? Thats nice man. My cousin HAD a truck that the windshield was held in place by duct tape. So was the back window, actually. Holes in the body were covered with it also. I love how creative people can get.

yeah well it was about 15 degrees out when i snapped it so i think the cold made it a lil brittle...but im gonna have to lay off the anabolics when i race now lol. i got these kids callin me the "Mad-shifter" now cuz i do have a history of breaking shifter ***** and handles...didn't think the Hurst would break that easily though

You should change your user name to "Mad-shifter" that would be awesome haha, but yea what you said is completely true, the cold makes certain metals brittle, but we are talking like sub zero temps

I bought my Pro 5.0 used for a $100 and couldn't be happier with it. It's an excelent shifter IMO.

I got a SLP shifter with a way short stainless stick off of ebay for around $115. Been extremely pleased. Most people who have drove my car say its the shortest shifter they have ever felt. The B&M t handle I use sits just about level with the height of the center console, when you put your arm there your hand rests on top of the handle.
