300 SAE Unlocked with a 3500 stall? If it is, that should get you into the high 12's with traction and a 1.8 sixty...(full weight) maybe 12.6ish depending on cam spects and rest of combo...

Can't really help ya on the power thing with the info you gave us....I used to run that cam though, and made good power with it..The supporting mods and good tune can make or break any combo......

For un-ported heads un-locked the numbers are not that far off. Your convert is taking up some of your Dyno power. If I remeber that cam is only 225/225 and .525/.525. I ran One years ago also

You should hit mid to high 12s easy

Man this was like 10 years back......Here's what I recall, I had a manual back in the day, on my 396 combo....It made 380 (stock rear 3.73 gears). Swapped the 409 cam out for a 305 comp cam and made no horse power difference but, it drove a little better (alot less surge for that cam size, more than likely caused by less cam overlap).

Combo with 409 cam was: LPE LT1 C@C heads, SLP shorties, no cut out (borla closed plate), no e-pump, 58mm T-body, 10.8 to 1 compression and on 17 inch wheel 275 40 17's. ........With your Unlocked "Stalled" auto, I would think 20 horse power less would make it to the ground.....The bigger the stall, generally the less they'll dyno...But average horse power stays about the same...and with an auto that's more important (along with flash stall and shift extension).

I also have to say that 409 cam made it's way into Ellis's "TwoFast4VL" auto car. With 350 cube engine, and that ran a lot smoother. I believe he only ran that cam with a blower so, no data there to help you.

Auto cars and dynos mean nothing excpet your A/F is on. On a mustang dyno on a 150shot my car made 518 rwhp or something like that? That netted me a 10.47 coming out on a 75 shot and ramping to 150.

is the car tuned? A ported MAF isn't going to be friendly unless your car has been tuned for it. Don't feel bad. I had my car dynoed on a local mustang dyno. (I think the operators still dont know how to properly use it). I made 280 ftlbs of tq to the rear wheels. That's less tq to the rear wheels than what a stock B-car LT1 would put down

My car put down 290 on a superflo dyno(reads like a Mustang, lower than dynojet) with stock iron heads and a zz3 cam 208/221 .506/.510 with 1.6/1.5 rocker split.
Was a mailorder pcmforless tune and a 2800 Edge converter.

Frankly I don't think the numbers are good but are not horrible either. I also think you would do a LOT better by from now on buying based on RESULTS rather than marketing, if you had you would not be dealing with TPIS or TCI.
