Borla to True Duals??????
Borla to true dual??????
I was just wondering if you like the results after switching from borla to true duals... I ask because I have someone interested in buying my borla exhaust, and I was thinking of going to true duals. Just don't want to regret it afterward. Also what setup was used on the true duals? What size piping was used, and what muffler/bullets did you go with..... Most of all were you happier with the results or do you miss your borla?
Thanks in Advance

i dunno but i like the borla for the fact i can flip the electric cutout open and be louder then any street car and the borla is nice quiet tone when just drivin around no pointed down resonating sound straight out the back

I switched form the Borls to a set of 3" true duals, x-pipe and twin bullets.
Throttle response improved and the car pulled better in the upper RPM's
The down fall is I lost the sleeper effect...around town I ran the closed plate.
I don't regret switching, but it is LOUD.

I have 2.5 inch true duals dumped at the axle with 18inch bullets and I am just plain tired of it. My new exhaust system consisit of 3inch Y from the headers into a Flowmaster 3-3.5 collector runing 3.5inch all the way out the back with a Magnaflow muffler and Borla riged adjustable plates, all mandrel bent. I am not expecting to lose much at all if any to be honest.
Engineermike on here made 700RWHP with the same muffler and 695RWHP without it and its quit. If its too quit I will just use the wide open plate to bypass the muffler or maybe the 2.5inch plate.
I'll post pics of when I get finished with it may be a while, luckly I have a way to get it high enough in the air, lol

Is it loud because it's dumped at the axle? What if I went 2.5 all the way out back?

2.5 out the back would be much better for a driver....mine dumps underneath the car...and over concrete the resonance is what makes it so loud
going out the back would even let you run a decent muffler to help with the excess sound but not add much restriction

I think I will go all the way out back. I will try to set the bullets like the the GMMG exhaust setup is...
I want to see if I can do duals and put the bullets where the chambered part of exhaust is... Think that will work?
