Default CA People

So I'm kinda contemplating moving to CA. Anyone out there running a LE2 or LE3 package, or anything decent? The smog deal bothers me, do they really want all those CARB stickers and ****??? What about cats, can they be in a different location then stock, like what if I want to run duals and stick some cats in there??

Anyone know if I move to CA if I can keep my car registered in FL??

Need opinions or how your smog experiences go, one of the things holding me back is my car, I want some emissions junk free longtubes, but well I have no idea now.

I live in CA and trust me there is ABSOLUTLEY NO WAY you could have long tubes and be legal. Unless you knew some kick *** smog people. I personally am stuck with buying mids and ive heard of some people having the le2 package out here i think. some one will chime in.

CA smog inspection is good for two years last I knew. So, get yourself a stock emission setup to bolt up when inspection time comes around and then convert back once you pass. They will read your codes, do a quick visual on parts, and put the sniffer in the pipe while they run it on rollers. (at least, thats what I went through)

If the LT4 top end was a decent price, that would be a nice sleeper setup...But its not...

Maybe use a LT4 cam, with some milled heads are a port job that would work with that cam?

Yeah this sounds like a downer. Guess maybe I won't be going out there, haven't decided yet.....

Whats CA's rules for exemption, 20 years??

Yeah I know Merv, I was out in CA for over 3 years with my FL tags, and it was great, but now if I go out there, I've been out now for awhile.
