Default New Stocker (Part Two)

After a long intermission I started working on my IHRA/NHRA Stock Eliminator race car again this week.

The old KTRE rear has been sold. I have built this Moser to replace it.

It features an aluminum spool, pro gear, gun drilled and star flanged axles, aluminum yoke, titanium studs, and Wildwood brakes.

WOW, that thing is a work of art.
I just pulled my beast out of the snowbank today and went for a drive, the speed bug has bitten with spring almost here and I think we all are going to head back out to the garage for some wrenching.

I spotted them on a new Chevrolet truck while it was up on a lift and thought that they would work well. I will try and track down the part number.

Thanks Darren!!

I might be getting into some deep water! Three of the five top SS qualifiers at Gainsville were SS/JA cars, running 10.0s. Damn! I'll probably have the slowest one on the planet.

I wouldn't worry too much. Not one of those cars was still in after the third round. Be carefull how you qualify, so that you can avoid any unwanted heads-up runs in the first round. It really won't take much to go a half second or more under the index (My old Camaro would do it on a bad day in Stock Eliminator trim). That would put you in the middle of the pack as far as performance goes. I really don't think that it would be that hard to run that 10.0. It all depends on your budget.

Good Luck,

Daren
