Default Which Lifters?

I have a H/C 96 Trans am. What lifters would you recommend?

Without knowing the specs on your setup or how much you want to spend I'de say the LS7's for $100, or the gmpp caddy lifters for $220.

got some low milage stockers for sale, click on link in sig, fyi I didnt know LT1's used LS1 lifters, I have reserched but thats the 1st time ive seen it mentioned.

Old school SBC, LT1, LS1, etc. the lifters are interchangeable. That why you see SBC's, LT1's and LS1's with Comp R lifters in them.

I bought some LS2 lifters and the guy who did my install said the wouldnt work. Does anyone know of LS7 lifters being used on a LT1?

Yes, the Caddy lifters are a pretty big hit right now for the LT1's and LS1's

i know they use the same bore size but arent they a different length? I know you should always measure PR length so it doesnt matter just curious. I will be running Morel link-bars for what its worth

Find a new shop whoever said that has no idea what the hell they are talking about.

Thats what I was thinking. It pissed me off so much. So LS7 lifters will for sure work?

That pisses me off because I had a set for 40 bucks that were remafed and I sold them because they "wouldnt work"

ya caddy are supposed to be good to 8000rpm without float
