H/C LT1 can it hang?????????
hey guy's i was wanting to know if a 94Z A4 with the LE2 H/C package hang with some LS1 A4 cam only cars? see my car ran a 14.5 with just a catback stock 3.23's in Lubbock TX (don't know the altitude). My friend with a 00 LS1 A4 Z ran a 14.1 stock with just a flowmaster and 3.23's. now the LS1 car has a Patriot 226/226. don't know the lift. he hasn't taken it to the track yet but that thing can move. lol. he's got all the supporting mods now with 3.73's out back now and a 3400 stall. see i'm planning on doing the LE2 H/C package this summer with all the supporting mods and 3.73's out back with a 3200 stall. my question is will i be able to hang with him in the quarter mile if we are both on M/T's or DR's? i would really like to know.

should be able to assuming the weight is similar, you know the supporting mods can get expensive like t/b injectors tune ewp which is about 700-900 bux
ported intake/heads/custom cam is like 1850 from lloyd
rockers/studs/guideplates another 300
my reccomendation is that the MOST IMPORTANT MOD YOU WILL EVER DO TO YOUR AUTOMATIC is a GOOD, repeat GOOD brand stall, yank/vigilante
btw car looks similar...with le2 heads cam and supporing mods with 3.73 and an auto you should be able to run 11.0-11.3 all day long at full weight...also the tune makes a world of diff, but the stall is #1

lubbocks altitude is 3,241 ft - your car weighs about roughly 3,200-3,300 In lubbock you'll need to have a very good set up to run a 11 on slidolu your buddys car is slow if it runs a 14.1 stock most guys i knew where running 13.8's 13.9s stock. even if it's an automatic was he doing the low to drive gear change and did he know the shift points? putting it in D and going isn't the best plan - your car is possibly going to run in the 12s with that setup in this area mine ran a 14.1 on street tires and minor bolt ons - which I was dumbfounded that my lt produced that kind of time in this area. you two should pull an intresting race but only if you both can produce a good reaction time and dont sleep at the light.

There is a few LE2 cars on here in the Mid 11's. The power is there you just have to put it to the ground.
