Default Long Tubes for a LT1

Can longtubes be put on a lt1?? Sry this is a newb question..

yes lots of people put them on. Depending on where you live they might not pass emission check

Do a search on ceramic coated pacesetter longtube headers. They are what most go with. And for good reason..

I have painted pacesetters. I was cheap, haha. They are ugly but will still last.

Well this is my neighbors car..I have a cobra...yeah yeah I know a ford but I love camaro's and TA's..Actually almost bought a 99 SS..But anyway my neighbor wrecked his car a few months back and is having to redo the whole front clip..He's thrown the motor out and is wanting to put a few things on it..He said that he looked and could only find shortys?? Idk to much about lt1's so I told him I'd help him out and ask a few of you guys..He's wanting to get Headers and o/r y pipe. He told me he was gonna do shortys cause thats all he could find and I told him to hold on and id help him get some longtubes and a nice o/r y..But I'll post a few pics of his car in a bit for all you to see..Its very nice with 20,000 miles on it..I thought Id just inform you guys so you didnt think I was a complete idiot noob

There are guys parting out LT1's all the time on here, make sure to check out the 'parts for sale' in the classifieds section and look for LT1 part outs. Any 93-97 front end will do. You can even find the same color sometimes.

I dont think they make them for the LT1 anymore, or if ever for that matter

Hookers have thin flanges, might be a problem keeping them tight, get some good ones, I have heard a few complaints about the cheaper ones coating, i.e. pacesetters. but they are cheap and almost everybody has them on here
