Default Another topic about gauges

Does anyone know what the gauges on an lt1 mean, speficically the ones where the rpms are. There is a little red box with an arrow inside and what seems to be water. Its been turning on but only when the car is warmed up. Does anyone know what it means?

Its your coolant temperature sensor, it is either bad- like mine, or you are running low on coolant. One way to find out is to get a flush, and re-fill, if it stays on, your temp sensor is bad.

That's another sensor entirely.

Besides that, I have no idea why you think that you can find out if the temp sensor is off by flushing the coolant.
