Default LE2 Build completed... (will not start help needed)

Well today me and my buddy finished my LE2 build, primed the oil, filled the radiator and went to start her up..... and sputter sputter died, tried again and a again still nothing. Finally threw fuel pressure gauge on, with the key on we get 43lbs then it quick bleeds off to zero. So naturally we check for fuel leaks, check the new injectors to see if they are leaking at all, and everything checks out ok. We were out of ideas so we pulled the fuel rail, left the injectors in and pressurized the system, sure enough the injectors were not leaking yet the pressure still quickly bleed off. Don't know what to check next leaning towards the fuel pressure regulator. Did notice when cranking the motor the need bounces around 40 lbs. We are out of ideas, and input is greatly appreciated.

After thinking about it more, I'm not 100% sure its a fuel pressure issued, alright the pressure bleeds off fast that could be because of the check ball in the pump which wouldn't effect how the car runs. When it did run it was very ruff and it back fired so I'm not sure if the fuel system would cause that so I am leaning towards the opti being install wrong.

Sounds like a timing issue to me are you sure you got the timing chain on correctly and or put the opti back in correct.

100% sure the timing chain is on correctly. Pulled the water pump today and took the opti off to make sure it was installed correctly. When to crank it again and still nothing. Pulled the #1 plug to check it for spark and sure enough nothing. Cleaned it up, then tried it again and then got some good spark, proceeded to clean all the plugs cranked it over and she idled. Wondering if I flooded it and fouled out the plugs? Going to get the pump back on tomorrow change the oil, probably get some new plugs while I'm at it too and see what happens
