Default what should i expect (hp) wise w/new engine

ive got a 94 formula (m6) i am about to buy an 383 stroker lt1 short block from golen rated for 500 hp i am going to top it with the lt4 h/c/i kit w/ the new edelbrock air gap intake rated at 425 hp from pace performance im going to put 32lb fuel injectors, holley 58 mm throtle body, long tube headers and good tune what kind of HP #s should i be looking for? im hopeing for around 500 but i know that is hard to do any suggestions?

You'll be lucky to see 360-375 RWHP. All those HP numbers you just quoted are flywheel rated numbers.

The Golen 383 shortblock will be a good piece. The LT4 hotcam kit is a VERY small cam for a 383 though, and LT4 heads unported are going to do nothing but choke the 383's air supply off.

Put it to you this way. The good old LT4 conversion on a stock bottom end LT1 is usually only good for about 340-350, maybe 360 on a good day. The extra cubes aren't going to do a ton for you.

If it was me.....

383 shortblock, AI 200CC cnc heads, custom solid roller camshaft. Nothing too extravagant or huge, but it will give a broad and big powerband.

it was either that or the golen 383 block with le2 h/c and air gap intake holley 58mm and 32lb injectors because i need it to be a daily driver

I'd do the LE2 over the LT4 stuff any day.

it's all in what you like. i personally would go with the LE2. but if you want to go with the LT4 conversion go ahead and do it.

Stroker = LE2 & LE3.2 custom grind and a good tune(from the best noted in sig) = Nasty DD
