Default Everyone with duals and exhaust knowledge in here!

I decided I'm gonna run duals since I'm tired of the Magnaflow. Not that its bad cuz it sounds good but it really does its job of muffling the sound of the car and I'm just ready for something louder after 2 years+! Right now I have Mac mids, no cat, and the Magnaflow. I just did the cam this past winter and all the other cars I've heard with the cc503 sound way better than mine unless my cutout is open, then I love the sound!

My plan is to run 2.5" duals with an H pipe, no cats, powersticks, under the axle and out the back. Anyway I want to go with the powerstick mufflers from EAD Performance, a sponsor, here they are http://www.eadperformance.com/catalo...314a28560ac0d7. I just need help deciding what size I need short, medium, or long? I also plan on having flanges before the axle just in case I ever need to drop the rear end, fuel tank, or just run it dumped for a little bit.

Is there anything I need to be aware of? I am lowered with the Prokit and have 2 point SFC's but the roads aren't too bad here. I know it will scrape on my driveway cuz my Magnaflow already does that. I've heard of people having trouble with the torque arm or not being able to drop the transmission. What do I need to know to not have some of these problems? I plan on taking pics of other peoples dual setups to various shops around here and see who can give me the best clearance and price with me providing the mufflers.

running duals under the axles would be cutting it close on groud clearance. if i were you i would dump it before the axle. it one of those things you think would be really lound and obnoxious but its loud at wot but then mellows out at idle and cruising speeds. and you can run any of those. length is going to make much difference but diameter will with clearance issues around the torque arm and driveshaft on there respective sides.

Sounds good! I've heard alot about the dynomax bullets but people say they are LOUD too and I do daily drive my TA. How do duals compare to an open cutout in a Y pipe setup, louder or quieter? I ask because my open cutout is loud but Id like it more if it was more refined.

get some LT's, a x pipe, 2 powersticks, go 3" and dump it like me. it rocks!

But what size powersticks? They come in different lengths short, medium, and long. Also what effect on sound do the different lengths have?

For comparison to everybody's duals here is what my car sounds like! It sounds good in these vids but in person it seems real quiet? Maybe you pros can tell a difference.

I have 3" from collector to exhaust tip run under the axle. My cars lowered too, and the only thing I ever scrape is the header collectors, never the exhaust pipes under the axle. There's some pics and a sound clip in here.

How much clearance would you say you have between the ground and the lowest point?

I haven't measured, maybe 2.5-3 inches?

Well I did 2.5" with an X pipe and dynomax bullets dumped and I was really weary (SP) of how loud it would be, but its actually not terrible and I have nothing but comments about how it sounds. Idling it sounds just nasty and WOT rips like hell, but cruising at ~2500 rpms I can carry on a conversation without yelling with the windows down at ~65 mph. And on top of that I barely lost any ground clearence, but I'm only planning on dropping my car 1" with the Hotchkis springs, but I could probably do the Eibachs without any issues, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Just for a comparison the lowest point on my exhaust is the collectors and 1 bend that I had to make to clear the fuel lines and the TA, but my front mount for my tunnel mounted TA hangs lower than both. I can't fit a mountain dew can under my collectors, but neither can my brother on his 94 Cobra with LTs, ORX, & Flowmaster catback.

I have to put my LCAs and PHB on tomorrow so I'll try to make some time to snap some pics. By no means is my exhaust perfect, but I have good ground clearence and it muffles the sound......a little Mabye I'll even get a vid clip of how it sounds cruising if I can get it to run like its suppost to

Thanx guys the car has 415rwhp and 368 ft/lbs with a cc306 cam - 230 / 244, .510 / .540 112 LSA
