Funny coolant burning smell
So heres the thing, the car has been doing this since I bought it. It happens when I either run the car hard or I drive for a while. When I pop the hood, and look, I smell burning coolant. Theres nothing leaking on the ground. And the amount I have the in the reservior doesn't change. Where do you think it could be leaking from?

My $0.02 - On the Driver's side, at the back of the intake, is the location of the leak.
Solution - remove the intake and replace the intake to head gasket.
My step father (a master mechanic and 20 yr GM wrench) stated on the LT motors, 9 out of 10 times that's where the very small / very slow leak is located. The smell is the coolant dripping into the exhaust and then burning up, hense the lack of a puddle.
BTW - It's where my leak is located too. I've gotta change that this winter when I'm driving my 75 Lemans...
Good luck!

funny you mention that, i took off the intake manifold, header wrapped the egr pipe back there on the passenger side and resealed with high temp sealant everything and torqued it all down properly. so i know that area is in good shape. the wp is brand new (my other new one grenaded about 3 months ago). i really dont know what it is thats burning off.
