If your car has really high miles and has never had any maintenance done, then I would go ahead and do all of the following:
replace/flush all fluids (oil, trans, coolant, rear diff), plugs, wires, o2 sensors, air filter, fuel filter, maybe coil/opti if you have any issues there (check to see if you have good spark, etc)

I suppose old motors could've used a reluctor style spark generator, like a small engine (lawn mower)
Fuel filter, plugs, wires. Then the coil, and then the spark control module. If still rough start, then the Opti.
If you tackle this yourself, I'd like it all filmed please

Do not get your O2 sensors from Autozone. It has been reported time and time again that people who have used the Bosch O2 sensors from any typical DAP have had problems with the car running correctly in closed loop.
The issues seems to root at the fact that the Bosch O2s do not send the readings as quickly as the factory ones do. Some people have had luck with the Bosch's, but I've heard more problems than good experiences.
Get some good 'ole AC Delco GM Replacement O2 sensors. It is the best way to go, and they'll last you quite a long time.
