Default Thinking about running N2O

I was wondering what would be a decent shot for a car with a CC306, 3500 stall converter, and forged pistons in a 4-bolt main block? The heads are stock for now but im going to do some minor port work myself while the motor is getting freshend up.

I also still need to decide on what ring gap to run.

New cam bearings, oil pump, freeze plugs, main and rod bearings, and some srp rod blots. It's also getting internally balanced, honed and all that good stuff. My LT1 came with the 4-bolt main's so i will probably leave them as is unless i do studs. I will be keeping the stock crank and rods. I will also be using the GM impala head gaskets to bump compression just a tad.

It will definitely flow good with your exhaust setup being it's dumped. I'd throw a 200 shot to it but I just want to see how it would hold up. I plan on dropping the CC306 into an M6 and hitting it with a 200 and seeing how low I can take that.

Im hoping to knock of some low to mid 7 sec 1/8th mile passes. I think that would keep me happy for now. I have no idea what the car runs as it is now. The last time i ran it was a year ago and all i had was bolt on's and a 2400 stall, it still ran 8.5's with consistant 1.8 sixties on stock suspension and street tires. Im dying to get back to the track!

your car now should be a high 7 sec car, with the N20 (id probably run a 150 shot) you should come close to 6's

I would be happy with that. Heck i still have some power held up in the heads, once i get some GOOD heads and suspension it should be a pretty quick car hopefully.

BTW i think i saw pictures of your car from MB f-body week. Looks awsome!!
