I have and like the M/T radials..They seem to be getting decent street mileage out of them and hook very well at the track. The BFGs work well, too and are a bit better if you do more street driving...The new Hoosier DR works great, but its not for regular street use...

Default Nitto's

Nitto drag radials are good, maybe too good. A friend of mine broke his spider pinion at the track from hooking so good.

if you're mostly street = Nitto
if you're mostly track or track only = M/T

Go to the drag racing section and see which radial most of the fast cars are using. I bet you won't find many with Nittos or BFGs.

Depends on what you do with the car. I daily drive with Nitto 555R's. Really good for rain. I had to drive about 35mph on the highway once when it was pouring. It was bad though. Wiper blades were on max speed and it was still hard to see. Other than that, it's actually difficult to hydroplane in these things. Good tires for what I'm looking for.

If you have an automatic then the M/T ET Street Radials. If a stick shift than the standard M/T ET Streets.

MT ET streets work well, I have a old pair of Nittos, with good track prep I can cut low 1.7s all day, I bet with a fresh pair of MTs I could get high 1.6s. The thing with the MTs are they are terrible in the rain, leaving HRP we got caught in a down pour on I-10, it was really bad and these were a new set.

I have had Nittos and BFG's and BFG's are 10x better. I could spin Nittos for 100 feet just from flooring it when I was stock, my BFG's now dead-hook. I'll have to see how they do with the 3.73's though, I might have to switch to ET Street Radials... tose are obviously the best, but have the worst street wear, nittos have the best, BFG's are right in the middle. Sticky enough to pick up every little rock and piece of **** on the road, but hard enough to give you decent treadwear...

Stick to a street tire, put your Drs on a spare set of 16s, salad shooters are cheap. I paid 20$ for a pair, swap tires when you go to the track or street race.

no really for a DR they suck. GMHP mag uses them prolly cause they get some $$$ pushed their way. If you're looking for a good drag radial, BFG, MT, or Hoosier. Nittos will last longer, but you're going to sacrifice traction.

I disagree, my nittos are GREAT. Im at 375 rwhp and they dont even squak. They are high milage, great in rain and hook up good.

The MT Street Radials are far superior to almost any other option. I probably wouldn't daily drive them though (unless you can afford to change them often). You could get a spare set of wheels and swap them out at the track.

to each his own. They were a decent street tire when I had them on my car, but they sucked at the track. Swapped to the BFG and my traction problems went away. Doesn't matter really to me, cause I run slicks now
