Installed cam, car idles well, shuts off at stop sign.
Well i got the car all together after the cam install. car idles really well, around 700 rmps. However i just took it for a tet drive and when i would come to a stop sign or have to stop, the car dies. Any idea why?

run a scanner on it and adjust the screw on your tb till your iac counts are correct. its not unusual to have to crack the blades a little the idle air required for a cammed car is sometimes more than the iac can handle with the stock tb opening. i had this particular problem myself even tuned, took my tb off and screwed the stop screw out turned it around so the torx portion was out the front so i could adjust it with the tb on the car, gave it about 1 full turn to get the iac counts in line, and the stalling completely disapeared.

TUNE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you can bandaid but dont...car still wont be good performance...and might be lean or rich and eventually prolly will foul out the o2 from being so rich at idle for so long....if you get your car tuned youll notice it idles about 1400 while slowing down then at a complete stop it will idle around 900 depending on what you want your idle to be

Same thing going on with me. But i've been able to figure mine out. At idle it's 650 (cam is XE 230/236) and when i get ready to come up to a stop or something, i'll throw it in neutral, give it a lil' rev and it'll go down to about 400 or 450 and stay there a second and work it's way back up. But i get tired of doing that so i gotta hurry and get it tuned, gonna set mine at 725 or so.

I'm guessing you are talking about the hotcam since it is listed in your sig? Hmm I'm surprised that small of cam doesn't run better without being tuned... Anyway you need a real tune, no programmer crap...and that is a low idle for a cammed m6 car, my cc306 idles at 950. It should get better the more you drive but I would still suggest having it tuned asap.

the car hasnt been tuned. so the tune ion created hasnt been applied. the car does idle perfectly fine when sitting there. however, i took it for a drive around the block per say. i would come to a stop to either turn, or i would be at a stop light the cars rpms drop to 700 then keeps falling to 0. I think a tune would remedy this issue because i feel the ECM cannot react quickly enough to the air/fuel mixture in time to keep the car idling.
