Since you have headers and roller rockers then its almost a requirement to have.

You should definitely have one. Even cars with just headers have set the stock one off.

Sorry for the hijack!

Pulled from madtuner site (AKA madz28)

As for the LT4 knock module, it is a good thing to have (although not a necessity) even though we can desensitize your knock module. This module does a better job of filtering out possible "knock" caused by engine compartment noise (from aftermarket rockers, exhaust leaks, rattles, etc.). If your knock sensor is detecting false knock, the PCM will retard timing, thus reducing your horsepower. This it the only case when an LT4 knock module is useful.

Its considered a must have, aftermarket valve train is rather noisy, LT headers doesnt help either. Its a easy install.

Your knock was not due to valvetrain noise then.

LT4 KM is a necessity for those with noisy valvetrains or aftermarket headers. Lt$ hotcam kit certauinly needs it. Desensitizing the stock KM is a bad idea, because you mightmiss real knock (detonation) otherwise; LT4 KM is less sensitive to the harmonics generated by roller rockers, but will still detect detonation... saving a motor.

For 40 bucks, you decide.

Its in your PCM. You pull the pcm and there is a plate on the back side you take off and its right there. You need to look at the part number. The number is #16214681.
