Default cc306 question

does the 306 make good power throughout the powerband? does it still have pretty good low end torque? i know it opens an lt1 up alot through midrange and top end but does it still retain pretty good low end grunt?
also between 306, gm846 and gm847 which one is the better cam? i DD my car btw

its a good cam, but if you like buying gas its not as refined as a 503. theres hundreds of topics in here on the 306 vs the 847.

Very true. It's a big cam and it is drivable. Look at some of the newer designs such as the XFI cams or Lunati's Voodoo cams.

I have a heavy vert but it's def a midrange/top end cam IMO. In my cars case, I think it feels a little soft below 3k but once it gets going it pulls very hard.

that is a nice slope! your still making 300ft. lbs. at 2500rpm! thats more than they make stock at the wheels and they still feel really strong! its also pretty flat torque curve!

Where it will feel noticeably soft is under 2.2K RPM relative to peak power and especially just above idle. Bigger cams will be softer down low but as you can see from the above chart it screams in the middle and up top.

Its a split for those you like this cam for daily driving and for those who dont.
