Default lt1 vs. lt4 knock module for juice use

which one is better for use with juice? i know the lt4 is less sensitive for rr's and headers, but places like summit/jegs say not for n2o use...what about the stock lt1 one for juice use? obviously i'm not spraying 24/7, so could the benefits outweigh the problems? i have a stock lt1 in there right now

from what I understand the LT1 mod pulls timing when it senses knock, LT4 mod has less sensativity and therefore doesn't pull timing, depending on what shot of juice you are using you need to have timing pulled to reduce the chance of detonation. Hope this helps.

GM LT1 knock module part number is 16177700

GM LT4 knock module part number is 16214681

if your looking to get a LT4 km from a dealership have them look it up under the corvette LT4, dealerships dont list them under f-body LT4.

I would go with the LT4 knock module because if you're going to run nitrous and if you were to detonate because of low octane the LT1 knock module would pull timing before LT4 knock module. The LT4 knock module is a lot less sensitive. There is no difference between the sensors themselves though. So, to be on the safe side, you should probably go with the LT4 knock module.

I'm no expert, so you might want to get a second opinion on the nitrous section of the forums. To me though, it makes sense. Good luck with your car.
