How would the car run if it had spun a bearing b/c the guy ran it for like 2 second and it ran god except it sounded a bit rough and it backfired a bit.

you don't need a new engine if you spin a bearing, just a rebuild with a new or resurfaced crank

even so I'm sure you could turn around and part that car out for more than 800 bucks if you lose interest

I drove mine...very little with its two spun bearings. It drove fine and still felt great at WOT, but the more you drive it the more damage you do.

driving with a spun bearing is def not a good idea, mine sounded like the end of the world was happening.

You have two types of bearings, rod and main. The rod bearing will knock like crazy, so it must be the main bearing(s).
As mentioned before, it will require pulling the engine, then the crank. Depending on the amount of damage done, you may get by with turning the crank and getting oversized main(s). Worst case, of course, is replacing the crankshaft.

you can also get a "refurbished" crank from o'reilly's. its just a stock crank thats been turned and polished by a division of federal mogul. it also comes with the rod and main bearings that match how its been turned.

thats what i did for my new motor and everything plastigauged out perfect. if you want i can get you the right part number tomorrow. they run like 160 i think if you don't have an account.

Its a quite loud metallic KNOCK. Sometimes people say a jar full of marbles.

When we drove my 94 LT1 it sounded as if the world was coming to an end as well. Knocking and banging like crazy but then one of the rods was broken into 3 pieces.
