on the freeway today i did a pull 1-4 and when i got to 4th i nailed it and the engine went to idle as i was gassing it. backed off the gas and went back on and BOOM! sounded like a 50 caliber shooting off.

i thought i made my opti explode at first

for some reason the last couple times i've gotten on my car and its tuned when i let off it shoots flames from the side pipes and sounds like a shot gun.. lol oh well i have a **** load of miles and that motor needs to just blow already lol..

mine did that replaced opti and it never did it again.

nah, i think it was a little condensation buildup in the opti. it was really cool out during the day.

5000 miles on the opti and no beating on it. i wouldnt think it would go out just like that.

actually after i heard that, i heard what sounded like gravel hitting the underside of the car.

Buddies 01 SS does this sometimes. If he lets off at like 100 it will send fire out the back. I think he has some major exhaust leaks somewhere.

at least he has coils.

the only exhaust leak i think i would have is at my Y pipe to catback connection, but that wouldnt hurt anything. i need a tune still.

i think it may be because i dont have an LT4 KM, i set off the knock sensors and it pulled timing and dumped fuel.

Mine would do that a little before my first tune, and then again later on when the opti was going.
