Default Picking up a 93 LT1 Camaro

For another toy and thinking about pacesetter LT's. People rave about them on the LS1. Are they as good on the LT1?

Their good for the money, they dont make any less power than a Hooker. They how ever dont use a 3 bolt collector flange like you would find on a Hooker LT, which I imagine is personal preference since FLPs, Dynatech and Kooks dont either

Pacesetters aren't bad to install unless you get the EGR and crap on them. Its a PITA then.

Well its always a PITA to work on our cars BUT the pacesetters fit good and are as easy to install as any other LT header. And there is nothing wrong with the y pipe.

How so?

I'm just going to park this car in the garage and strip it down. I really want to turn it into a SOM SS clone.

Pacesetters have one problem... the y hits and rattles the floor under acceleration on the drivers side. Well atleast mine do and its annoying.

They are the only year with many, MANY things. Well, F-Body that is. 92 Vettes share a few things in common. If it's an automatic, it has a 700R4 (4L60) to start with. The computer is removable chip style, not flashable, and you can't change anything with the transmission via tune, since it's not an electric transmission. It's a Speed Density motor, instead of MAF. The list goes on.

I bought my 93 in early July with 82,000 miles, just rolled 84,000 miles. The transmission started slipping a little after I bought it, but I got it for a good price and alot of our cars need transmissions at 80,000 miles. There are a lot of bolt ons put on the car. The throttle body needs the tv cable hook up which is only for 93, in 94 they started the 4l60e. The transmission has a reverse valve body, so if it breaks, it is hard to find a core. It is a 700R4 with a reverse valvebody. Other than that, a few of the parts will be different, but it is still the same as any other 93-97 fbody. The cool thing is that many people think its a crappy car because its got the lt1, some guys in an ls1 thought that, and lost this summer...Good luck finding one, I have alot of fun in my car.
