Default Valve Covers!

I am curious...I am looking to put some valve covers on my LT1 Camaro, something nice to match the theme I will be doing with it. Will any late model SB350 alve covers work for my LT1, or do they have to be SPECIFICALLY for LT1??

They are centerbolt valve covers, but need to be notched to clear the alternator. Standard SBC's will not fit. I run CANTONS, but there are other companies that make LT1 specific valve covers.

If you dont mind a bit of toying around you can modify some to fit.

if you can mount your alt low any set of center-bolt valve covers may fit.

Here's the Canton's on my setup. I still need to clearance the passenger side cover a little to clear the rocker arm. The Comp Pro-Mags have a pretty fat body so depending on which rockers you have you may not have to do anything. These still have the notch for the alternator also.

Here are my Cantons stuffed in there. You can barely see them but I figured it's better than nothing.

I had the cantons too. mine were a pain in the *** to seal though for some reason. They leaked bad. I think whoever fabbed them smoked a big one before he made mine.

I reused the rubber gaskets I had on and did not have any problem.

I first siliconed the gaskets to the cantons, then installed them together.

Those Cantons look great, quality looks good, suck if they leak for as much as they cost.
