Default B-Body Hits 200K

My Impala hit 200K miles this month.

She still runs strong, burns no oil, and gets 22+ MPG.

Long live the LT1!

Cool man. She's got a lot of life left in her. My local police department in PA had several Caprices with over 250k miles on them before retiring them. Most were retired due to eventually being wrecked at that.

My Caprice is at 18xK though not much is original anymore.

My wagon has 223K, the tranny has a reman sticker and the posi gave up but it still keeps on going. I think a LOT of it is original seeing as the upper balljoints are still riveted, not bolted as replacements are.

The b-body platform was designed for a longer service life with police duty and towing in mind so they last very well.
