Default Buying an lt1 camaro, what to look for??

This is my first time getting a Camaro, I'm coming over from my Integra, so I don't know what to search for (common problems) in this 1995 Camaro Z28?

Make sure it doesn't have a misfire or stored codes for the optical sensor of the distributor. Make sure it shifts well, do a VIN check for any prior problems. OH and if it overheats, don't buy it...

Make sure the little triangle trim peice infront of the driver's side window is good and tight. That little ****** will fly off and hit you in the face while you're driving...

Check the oil

Check the trans fluid (no burnt smell, frothyness, discoloration )Should be nice cranberry red

Check for leaks

Feel every gear shift and shift into every one manually

Go over bumps and crap

Make sharp turns

Listen for noises

etc etc etc!!

I would watch for overheating. I'm not sure if these cars are known for blown head gaskets but it seems to be fairly common because of the iron block/aluminum head combo.

The intake manifold gasket is another gasket that might need checked out.

Make sure you check the rear end for leaks and listen for noises when your driving around. If it has alot of miles check the axles for exessive movement. Mine makes a grinding noise when I turn too hard to the left.
