Default FINALLY got on a dyno....

Well I finally got on a dyno and here is the graph!

Not very good numbers since I was on a Mustang dyno and I don't know what it translates over to on a Dynojet? All my mods are in my sig. Also the guy doing the runs didn't rev it high enough as you can see. I don't know why he didn't but that was his decision. I think there is a little more left in her with a better tune so I'm gonna see what Ion (madz28) has to say. Hopefully pretty soon I'll make it down to TSP and get on their Dynojet with a new tune and see what REAL numbers I put up. I ended up with 285 hp, 311 tq, and was revved to about 5200.

Well that would be awesome! But I won't get my hopes that high this way if I keep them low and I do hit high on the dynojet I will be way more excited!

well from all the youtube dyno vids of the 503 ive seen, unported heads should get you between 330-345 at the wheels depending on the boltons you have. your tune all depends like you said too.

Honestly I'm hoping for 330, thats what Stealthformula pulled from his 15,000 mile LT1 and I want my 100,000 LT1 to be on the same page as his! Its been tuned already but it looks to be just a little rich from the graph. Don't know what gains I can get from that so I already emailed Ion the graph to see what he wants to do. And for sure next time we are revving to at least 6000 to see if peak power drops off or keeps climbing. So peak numbers are soon to come plus I also got the nitrous install coming along.

Yea I'd say that's pretty darn low for a cammed car. People with bolt-ons get that. Plus the stupid Mustang Dyno's are always low as hell.

LOL yea thats why I want to get on a Dynojet. I was already out of town taking my Mom to a Doctor appt. and found out a shop there had a dyno. I called them and they said they could get me on that day so I figured why not. Afterall I have never even been on a dyno and had no idea what to expect. I can't even imagine how low a bolt-on LT1 would do on a Mustang dyno! Makes you wanna sale your car.

I'm gonna invent a "Firebird Dyno" and make all the Mustangs dyno like crap. (BTW don't even think of copying that idea, it's already a trademark/copyright by the one and only Porksoda!)

Looks like he let out at 5200 like you said, I would venture to say your graph would've kept on climbing. If so , you might have seen the numbers you were looking for, mind you a lil lower being its on a MD.
Dont be discouraged just yet

Never discouraged! I like being the underdog with my 14 year old car.

Well to give you some insight. I did 264/299 on a MD and then 324/316 on a Dyno Jet.

The graph shows power had already started to fall off. There was no reason to rev it any higher.

Pork why is the power dropping off like that at such low rpms?
Mine put down 320rwhp and 33xrwtq at 5200 but continued to pull to where I revved it to which was 5900. It didnt appear to want to be stopping I think it would have made power until about 6100 or so so Im very confused why its dropping off. Untuned I put down 316 at 5900 so I dont know what the issue may be.
I think with whatever issue resolved you can put down 340-350 on a dynojet.

it dropped off at 5200 because HE LET OFF!!! Read his post. He could have gone all the way to 6k and maybe dropped off their since the 503 makes power to 5800 (so they rate it anyways )
