....I just did this install....

3" for the y-pipe/header collector connection, so two of those.

3" for the y-pipe/y-pipe connection...one of those...

Total of (3) 3" Band Clamps, $11 each from Napa.

Going from the y-pipe to the stock I-pipe is different, the clamp won't even be close to working. I had to have a 3" dia pipe to 2.5" pipe connector made to fit my two together. So then on that connection you need a 3" band and a 2.5" band.

When you tighten them down they stretch to the shape of the connection, thats why you see some that look "stepped" or "custom", they are all just flat when you begin but shape themselves.

At all of my connections, before I put my clamps on, I smeared the inside of each of those band clamps with super high temp silicon for extra protection, I don't have a single leak. It helps alot, I've gone both with and without the silicon. Use the high temp copper sealant...

Post up some more details of exactly what you got and what your doing.

Hope this helps...

That is all assuming you have the factory exhaust and plan to keep the factory I-pipe and Catback ofcourse.

i dont know what I am giong to do yet i have a set of ARH's on the way and a magnaflow catback but the catback steps down for the stock y pipe i may have to cut it back and put a 3" pipe about 8 inches long in sucks to have to have the extra parts.

I just did this, converted from regular U clamps, w/e those are to band clamps. I used 3 three inch clamps and they worked perfect for each header collector.

I used a clamp for cutout to 3" y-pipe, that woudl be what u need to figure out.

the pasetter y pipe worked on my stock i pipe i still think 3.5 inch(3 inch flared end) are the way to go it closes the gap better for a complete seal and a 3 inch for the i pipe to y pipe... i guess some cars are different just got buy them you can always take them back if you don't need them... its better to go slightly bigger than to small cause thoses things will crush the exhaust pipe lol if your not careful

I think they meant 3"-inside diameter size so it slips over the 3"-outside diameter pipe.

yea it was like a stepped 3 inch one side was slightly larger for the pipe that slips over the 3 inch pipe
