Default electric water pump problem

I just installed a mezeire water pump on my 94 ta, since i installed it, it runs cool at about 160 to 170 for about 10 minutes and then slowly creeps up to 200 then 210 and then 220 and stays there even at idle untill, i turn the car off and let it cool down. I have a 160 degree thermostat and the fans tuned to turn on at 160. The fans are working, i put a new thermostat and exchanged the electric water pump for another one and i burped the system about 10 times. But still does it, and also with the stock pump it stayed between 160 and 170 all the time. Any help would be appreciated?

Ours seems to stay around 220. Even after the electric water pump.

dang your cars are running hot. i would say mine always stays in the 190 range but stock gauges are inaccurate. Have you bled your cooling system?

sounds like clogged system...run some cascade through it for 3-r days just a scoop or 2...then drain it and flush it with the pump on and a waterhose...then refill burp and see what happens

also could be that you wired up your water pump incorrectly causing it to not work as designed

How do you check for air in the system? So far i loosened the bleeder screws and water came out, but no air. When i take the cap off i see the water circulating. I've put about 150 miles on it since the swap and still getting up to 220 after about 20 minutes. Is there anything else i can check?

could be your thermostat not opening and closing right, not really sure hard to tell. Sounds like your system needs to be flushed out REAL good. I have an EWP, 160* thermostat, and my fans are tuned to come on earlier, FWIW mine runs constantly around 190, I actually wish it ran around 200 but oh well.
