Electric windows to manual windows what do I need?
Like the title states I want to go from electric windows to manual. It is a 1997 camaro. Is there a certain camaro year that made manual windows to fit right up to where the electric motor went on a 1997? Thanks in advance.

Any Gen IV Manual Window Assembly will bolt into it. Take the Panel off and you will see the holes where the Manual Assembly will go into it. It will be pretty much in a rectangular pattern, level with the ground. Grind/cut the Rivets for the Electric Motor and drill the ones out for the Manual Assembly. Then just bolt it in and put it back together. Line up the Door Panel and cut a hole for the Crank.

Sounds easy enough because I already have the rivets out and they are replaced with bolts. When taking the motor out do I need to take out the whole "scissor" assembly to get it out and replace it?

I have the battery out and have rewired the car. It was a pain since I could not leave the windows down. There are a lot of wires to keep when leaving power windows in the car. I wish the car had manual windows.

I got the drivers side manual window in and they are so much better and like themerv said almost never going to fail. I knew if i just replaced the window motor I would have more problems in the next couple months because of bad wiring connections and shortages. Thanks again Themerv for your help in telling me what parts to get.
