Default Alternator Question

Ive had my 94 Z for @ 5 years im going to go ahead and replace the alterator. My question is witch one to buy and here's why i ask Ive never had trouble with the one i have but it has always read low more at night when i have light a/c radio pretty much everything on, its right at the red. Since i never had any trouble just thought it was normal, Anybody else have this going on and what is the best one to buy amps ect. dont have system or anything in the car that would pull more power than normal let me know what you guys think Thanks
