Damn LT1 wont start!
I recently got done putting a cam in the car. Its a pretty large cam. The pcm has been tuned for the cam and everything. Well on first startup we figured out that we had the plug wires in some wrong places so we fixed that and it fired up with no problem let it idle and off I went. The car started missing when I first started driving and I drove it around for a few and it died on me on the interstate on the way home. I put it in 4th gear and let off the clutch and it started itself back up and off I went but it wouldn't let me run anything passed 3K rpm it wouldn't even climb past it like it was stuck there. so I pulled it down into third where it died again and would not start back up. I towed it home and started to work on it. Now the opti is brand new the plug wires are brand new. It has fuel pressure. The coil is also brand new. I can't figure this out for the life of me and I need some help!

Ignition Control Module right above the coil. Did you test this? I'd start at the very starting point of your ignition system and work your way through testing everything. Even the parts you think are good. I'm working on my brothers ignition system for him right now and it turned out to be a bad opti....it was backfiring...wouldnt revv very high...horrible on gas..it would run, die and not start up for a while..then all the sudden it would start up and run fine...then die again. Also, is your car throwing any codes? My brothers car through a code 16 which is a low resolution circuit pulse. (faulty optical sensor in the opti). good luck

I have not yet tested the Ignition control module... how can you test it? The opti is brand new and I'm about 95% sure it is installed correctly but I am going to go back and make sure it is today..... Like I said everything is brand new in the ignition except the control module but I checked last night and I'm getting spark at the coil.

Check and make sure you dont have any grounds loose. There is a spot ofr all the grounds next to the coil and sometimes the wires get pulled loose from the eyelet when working in that area. I know this b/c had the same thing happan to me.
