I had a used 900$ Eagle kit (gave less than 900 lol) and it ran fine, the pistons and rods are still alive in another motor with a Scat cast steel crank.
My Eagle crank had its thrust surface ruined when my converter balooned.
With 55 cc (old AFR 190s) heads the Impy gasket. The -18cc pistons made about 9.8 to one compression. with that a GM 847 cam, full exhaust, 3000 stall and 3.73 gears my 97 WS6 went mid 11s in Drive putting my foot to the floor on the last amber, it was like clockwork.
The flattops with the -7cc releif would give a better compression with the common Felpro gasket and make a little mor epower than what I was doing.
I built a new 383 when the crank went south.
