Default Stripped a spark plug....ideas?

Well, everything was going well, this was my first spark plug job on the lt1 and i was surprised at how easily i got all of the ones on the drivers side done....took no more than 20 minutes. So i moved onto the passenger side, and of course, i screw up right away. The spark plug farthest back on the passenger side is totally stripped. It looks like i put too much pressure on it and actually bent the end of the plug. So i can't get it out, because its stripped, and i cant just skip over it, because now the plug wont go onto it. Ideas?

Sorry, guess the description wasnt the best. Half the old spark plug is still in there, the other half is....well its not in such good shape anymore. As of right now ive filed it down as best i can and im gonna try and get another socket on there.

As for the vice grips yeah i did try that....couldnt even get em close enough to use....no space back there.

The only other thing you can try is a metric socket, if there is a way to beat it on with a hammer, But if you do get it out and the threads are stripped you are still in trouble, You will have to pull the head to either tap out the hole or add a Helicoil....

from now on ANYtime you are threading a bolt into your engine use your fingers to get it in straight and hand tight, then use your socket/wrench.

The way I read it, the OP is trying to get the orig plug OUT.

How about accessing that plug from underneath the car? Do you have headers?

if u cant grab onto any part of the plug with a vice grip... you might have to try to back it out with a flathead or something... you are in for some trouble lol

You might want to run a spark plug thread chaser in, if you havent put
in the new plug.
