Default took the car to the track..how to knock down my 60ft??

I was running on 255/16 bfg radials i still spun a little, mainly when i hit second gear. I was running them at 20psi.

best of the night was:

8.3141 at 84mph with a 1.89 60ft there has to be some more mph in this thing somewhere and as far as the 60ft goes im still on the stock torque arm and lower control arms.

what would be the best and most affective mod to do???

any ideas??

I'd get a chassis mounted adj. torque arm, and take the front sway bar off if you haven't already. Once you use up your current DRs, get a set of MTs.

M/Ts will help you the most. 1.7 60ft on cut springs and boxed lca. everything else is stock on stock motor.

1 Lower the pressure (I run mine at 16 psi)
2 Heat them up better

If that doesn't work then

3 Goto a better track you shouldn't be able to spin them on a 1-2 shift

I cut 1.65' on those tires

More tire will help at lower HP levels. Sidewall sidewall sidewall! LCA's and relocations will help.

torque arm and relocation brackets are what i found most useful in the suspension dept pertaining to traction. LCA didn't do **** for me

Yea i went to the local track Friday, i have the same setup as you minus the stall and tune and im on stock 273 gears. I ran an 8.4 at 85mph. I cant wait to get tuned and get my gears and stall. Was the track prep good?

jegs torque arm dropped .3 off my times. when I was stock with basic bolt-ons went 14.0 at 105 on a 2.25 60ft. in 90 degree summer day. Same conditions with just adding the torque arm I went 13.7. then I put better tires on from the stock goodyear gsc's and went 13.3 on a 2.0 60ft. I never put drag radials on it and went back to the track. By what it trapped with et streets on a 1.7 should of went 12.7, you know shoulda, coulda, woulda!

Where you stage will make a difference on your 60ft and your trap speed. Make sure you are stagging the same everytime to get a true measure. I would ge the MT's to.

I dont see a Stall in your sig but that would be huge in helping your 60's. A nice sized stall along with LCA's, Torque Arm etc. should have you hitting 1.6X 60's at full weight. Also try running the tires at about 15psi, thats where I have my M/T ET Streets and its perfect for me. But out of what you have listed in the poll I would start out with some LCA's first. I wouldnt get the M/T's until your BFG's are done.
