Did you get a tune for the pcm? Also, have you checked all your connections (i.e. MAF, TPS, MAP, IAT) all that stuff can cause it to not wanna start up.

check to see if the security light is flashing, then make sure there aren't any vac. leaks. i had the same problem last week and it was the vac line for the fuel regulator

Other than what's mentioned, I'd heck TPS voltage and IAC counts (scanner). Other than that, only thing I can think of ATM is timing, but I believe 95s can't be mis-timed with how the opti installs.

Since you'll REALLY want a tune, might as well get that too and make sure it's not the computer for some reason, but even then it should still be able to start it and idle.

Have you tried opening the throttle a bit when starting?

yes I tried to open the throttle a little and no real diff than it seems to run out of gas quicker. I don,t know what the tps voltage should be and I don't have a tune yet I wanted to get to some what running and get a dyno tune. there is no sec light on I thought about that also.

.67v is the nominal voltage for closed and 4-4.5v wide open. (TPS)

Meangreeney, Is it 1 -popping running lousey and dying out or 2 - running clean then dying. 1 could be crappy opti pulses, but they should throw a SES code and fans s/b be running, did you use your old opti on the new engine ? 2 - could be fuel, the ignition off-to-on signals the PCM to run the fuel pump 2-3 secs and builds up pressure to start the engine. After it kicks over the PCM picks the Fuel Pump Relay to run the pump. Do you still have good pressure after it kicks over, if not could be relay or PCM signal to relay. I had problem number 1 that ended up being WP oil seal letting oil seep into the opti and onto the harness connector.

The fans shouldnt be on at all. As others have said check your IAC and TPS, sounds like your just dumping a ton of fuel and the car cant keep up with it.

What do your spark plugs look like?

It should atleast start with about any tune in it. Sounds like the opti is bad, is it oem or been replaced!

Man that thing is running pig rich. I'd get the specifics about what the previous owner had all done to it, and what is still the same now, then get a new tune.

But first I'd see what code is flying to make you fans be on.
