What would someone be willing to spend for the 396 from PEPE
Everyone knows how well this 396 did before when Brett, aka "PEPE" owned it. 500 r.w.h.p. n/a. before, I just had it freshened, a little more compression, and larger cam. Dynoed it on the engine dyno. 698 n/a. It is the best of the best in parts. Before anyone asks, it's for the long block minus the LT4 intake. There's 20k tied up in this engine

LOL, PEPE is now a 25.2 car with a pro stock small block, glide, and a 400 shot on it. The legend lives on. I am very motivated to sell this engine, just need to see what it'd be worth to the right person. I promise you I'd be happy to get less than half of what is tied up in it.

Here's somewhat of a detailed list.
396 LT1
Callies Dragon Slayer crank
Callies Pro rods
Wiseco custom pistons
AFR splayed billet main caps with studs not bolts
custom solid roller comp cam
Crane Pro solid roller lifters
Double timing chain
Meledon 7 qt. oil pan
AFR 210 heads reworked by LME that out flow AFR 227's flow is in the 320's @ 600 lift
2.08/ 1.6 Ferrara valves
Next Tech springs
Jesel Shaft mount rockers
CSR electric water pump.
Engine makes 698 h.p. on the engine dyno, and is built for a 300-400 shot
I just spent 4400.00 having it freshened, it's on the stand in a bag ready to go.

It is an incredible motor and I would love to own it but I do not have the fund's.
This is the problem. It is a very small market much like the 409 in the 60s. one day it is the hotest engine made and the next it is replaced and dead.
To many bill's right now or I would make a play for it
Interested in any 18* stuff LOL!
