The beast won't crank!!!
Dynaspark went in, new plugs and wires, the usual crap...car ran before but not great, now it won't fire. It's getting gas and the coil is ok, and all my wires and what not are ok, just seems like my timing is WAY off. How can I fix this? Is there any chance that I put the opti in wrong?

After taking my opti off a couple of times, i learned to start the car with out the water pump on and just the bare necessities need to start, only to make sure it was good before the water pump and fans went in...

glad to hear its fixed! that was my dads exact problem. it was driving us both mad for 2 days until we remounted it. fired Right upa nd ran great. if i were you id check my wire if there arching and plugs. something might not be 100% with that and thats a cheaper and faster fix then a coil. but if your coil is stock then replace it with MSD Blaster and call it a day

bah that sucks man. but my dad doesnt have a problem with his accel opti. nor i with my accel coil. could be something vacuum related now. i think my ICV is messed up abit because it doesnt back fire but it sputters abit. especially when going into first from a standstill

I would take that coil/ICM to your local autozone or anything local and have them test em... Start with the cheap stuff first. Since things arent getting screwy until the car is warmed up now, thats where I would start.
Since your opti is a new Dynaspark, I would not think you got a bad one.

I took my coil and icm to autozone and they said they cant test them??? I'm going to put some more washers behind the mounting plates on the coil and see if I can get that heat off of them and maybe the car will run alittle better. The backfiring also made my crank position sensor go bad...I'm replacing that too.
