Default How strong is the manual transmission in the G8 GXP's?

*EDIT* thanks prostockjohn!!!!

I'm getting a GXP as soon as they come out and I'm getting it with the manual transmission. How much power can they handle and what are their weak links? Thanks!

If you're getting a manual transmission, would that not be a T56? I was under the impression that the 6L80E was the sequential shifting transmission (automatic).

You are correct. I, apparently, hit the crack pipe one too many times before I posted this. I am referring to the manual transmission. I apologize for that.

Clearly my sig applies to me.

Actually it will probably be the TR6060 which is basically a T56 design unit .

The TR6060 is a very strong trans, basically all the lessons learned from the T56 are incorporated into the 6060, and thus it's factory rated at 600lb-ft. Steel fork, carbon fibre multi-cone synchros, one piece countershaft, thicker input/output shafts, etc.

But the same as with a built-T56, a bad driver or malfunctioning equipment (clutch/slave/etc.) can ruin one just as easy.

So far though (for me) parts and manuals have been hard to come by.
