What causes this to happen to a practically new spec twin disc
I had got a spec twin disc for my Camaro late last summer andput about 300 miles on it since. I had pulled the trans recently to fix a whine and check the slave measurement because my engagment point kept getting higher and higher in those 300 miles. So as im trying to inspect everything carefully i looked at the clutch. This clutch shutters and squeals like a **** too now, check out the squiggly cuts you can cath your fingernail in! pilot bearing is perfect and the supplied one that came from spec, as was the throwout bearing that came from spec. Note the 1/16" wide groove around the flywheel face, that baby is pretty deep.
Any ideas? Clutch seem ok to use yet? I wrote to spec eariler today and supplied the pics and have not heard back as their stance on it yet. I want to get my car done and out of the garage but make sure its 100% right at the same time.
Ideas?

I suspect that some material came off the disks and gouged the flywheel and pressure plate. Any chance of foreign objects getting in there during the install? Cleanliness is next to Godliness when it comes to new clutch installs!

well its a turbo car, it does make torque... this is 300 miles of mixed driving so far and not it has not even been WOT once since it was together. There is no warpage or burning. The car also has 3.42's which is a little tougher on the clutch for take off's.
I wrote the same story i did here to Spec in their contact us and that was 2 days ago and have not heard back from them... They will probably tell me too bad so sorry any way now that they got my $1300, now get lost.
The engine was out of the car when i put the clutch in so it was about as clean where i installed it as i could get it anyway at the time...
Every surface is like this though which would probably match the chattering issue.
Just trying to make sure this thing is ok to put back together like this or not.
