Help with shifting

I say about 6600 is a starting point but u need to go to the track and make some passes and see what shift point nets the highest MPH in the 1/4 mile. That for me is the best way to find the optimal shift point.
BTW, what are the specs of your cam and is it still injected or is it carbed?

Cam is 224/226 .569/.571 114. Heads are patriot stage II.
I believe my rev limiter is set to 6700. If I peg it out, will the engine shut down completely like it did on the dyno, or will it just cut out and then recover? Also, will 6600 be good in all gears?
Thanks.

since the car is still making good power past 6500....i would say set the light at about 6400-6500
that gives you a small buffer before you start hitting the limiter.
no reason i can think of to not shift at the same point in all gears.
