Default Tick + monster 3..1st is hard as ffckk

I installed a tick master and monster level 3 about 100 miles ago, bleed the crap out of it with some nice motul fluid and have been adjusting to the new clutch.

Now, this is my first "high performance" clutch that I have driven but 1st and reverse seem a bit tricky to get into without jumping the car around a bit.

(reminds me of when I first started driving stick)

Is this normal..and something I just need to get used to?

The pedal engages really high now, and I know I can adjust it back down a bit with the tick.

i got the same stuff, my clutch won't completely disengage thats why its hard to go into first and very very hard to go into reverse.

well, it goes in...but it's like going from 0% to 100% and the car lurches

I have a monster 3 but no TICK. My first gear was fine the moment I had the clutch installed. Dump the clutch a few times. I'd also bleed it more.

Your problem sounds like a disenagement issue, but then you say the pedal engages really high which makes me think its not an ordinary disenagement issue.

What was you adjusment procedure? It could be possible that you have the rod ajusted way to far out causing an issue like that.

Hmm, ok I'll try screwing the rod down to make the total length shorter.

What are the directions for adjusting the tick master to get it "just right" ?

thanks

The clutch pedal should be a little lower than the brake pedal at rest when the master is adjusted correctly.

Are you saying that it's hard to get the car into first and reverse, or is it hard to get the car moving once it's in gear?
