I just put a McLeod Street Twin in my Trans Am. Not broke in yet but so far so good. I've been through several Stage III single disk clutches which worked fine but didn't last too long. Decided to try this one.

Or you could go with a single disk Monster like a level 3 or 4.

That's about what I'd expect to be charged for the whole clutch assembly and flywheel. It's in the ballpark for what I paid. I think you can get the clutch assembly for around $400, so that's about $200-something for the flywheel. My McLeod came with a steel flywheel, which is being re-surfaced right now. I'm rebuilding it for 500 HP, and will run my new LS6 stock except for bolt-ons and tune for the first couple of years.

Textralia OZ700 Z-grip, my friend. A badass clutch with a matched, balanced flywheel. No break-in period required. Install it and beat the hell out of it on the way to the track your first day.

Man, I like the idea of no break in...I just got the resurfaced steel flywheel back, plus the new McLeod clutch plate. The good news is that the car will be back on the road in the next couple of days. The bad news I have to break it in for 500 miles. But since the LS6 is brand new too, I'll be killing a couple birds with one stone.

No break in on a clutch??? I ran three ram's (two 910's and a 980)and a centerforce. The spec st3 was the best for me drove the best held at the track and last the longest. These are the only clutched i've tried.

I was thinking about the F1 in my car also... I have used them in cars in the past with no problems (turboed prelude and a couple turboed eclipses)... If you end up using one can you let me know which one you use and how well it works out for you? Thanks

well i got one off ebay the other day it looks good i checked it out an looked it over an the flywheel is nice also. i got it too my door for 425.00 .
i would let u know how it does but i still geting parts an stuff i dont plan on doing my ls1 swap into my 69 camaro till this winter well i hope by then.
i have talked to one member on here with a ls1 turboed camaro an he likes it he said he has seen track time but just easy on it an has 15xxx miles on it an still doin great so i think its a good one for the price buddy. and for the price y not try it out u get a new flywheel lol an if u get 20,000 mile i think it be ok for the money u know.
