Vibration in "top" gears

Vibration in "top" gears
I've recently been getting some vibration in my car when driving and it's been pissing me off. Here's what's on the car
MWC fab'ed 9" with tq arm
PST aluminum ds
stock t56, pro 5.0 shifter
Wheels/tires are balanced, ds was just recently balanced, drive angle is set at -1, and all bolts are nice and tight.
The vibration seems to occur at rpms above 3,000 mostly in 3rd and 5th gears. These no vibration at any speed in 4th, and VERY little vibration in 6th. I move too quickly through gears 1,2 to really tell if vibration is there. Now, the transmission really needs a rebuild. 5th gear synchro is shot since it will grind if going into 5th too fast and it won't downshift without rev matching. reverse has been popping out for awhile, and recently 4th gear is popping out.
I've talked to a couple of guys that believe that it could be a bearing problem in the tranny since 4th is on the main shaft and vibration really won't show in that gear. Anyone have any input?

Seems that we have the same issues, mine does it in 6th gear, while doing normal cruising at highway speeds.
I have installed the following:
-new bearings(wheel & carrage gears)
-balanced the drive shaft
-installed new tires
-checked the axles
Things I am going to check:
-pinion angle
-fly wheel
-harmonic balancer
Mods are:
-global west suspension compnents
-spec 3 clutch

Well I've recently had the tranny rebuilt. Still has the same bearings/gears. Problem has seemed to pretty much go away. Still have small vibration, but no longer "feels" like it's coming from the tranny. Probably an out of balance wheel now, as I saw a weight missing on one of my wheels the other day when washing the car.

I seem to have the same problem. 1st through 4th is like stock, 5th and 6th some vibration. This seems to be a fairly common problem that many people experience and I have yet to see someone find a specific part or adjustment. I have to think it is resonance, or just the nature of suspension mods. I've learned to live with it. I guess every mod takes your car just a little less stock feeling.
Mods are:
M6
S60 W/ Steel DS
Poly Motor mounts
Strange SA Rear shocks
UMI Adj TA Trans suppt mount
UMI LCA, Reloc Bkts, PHB, SFC
Pinion Angle -2
